The clients came to us with a primary bathroom that felt dated and cramped. An oversized built-in tub took up a significant share of the usable space, and the shower was small and enclosed. They wanted a brighter, more open room with a large walk-in shower, and getting there meant redesigning the footprint entirely. We relocated the toilet to the former tub area, converted the old shower location into a closet, and used the former toilet area and part of the vanity space to create a large walk-in shower finished with bold marble-look tile and frameless glass. The result is a bathroom that uses the space much more efficiently, with a significantly larger shower and additional closet storage.
Changing the footprint required significant plumbing relocations, including moving the toilet and shower plumbing, while the large-format shower tile and frameless glass demanded precise installation and close attention to detail. From start to finish, the project took approximately four to five weeks. Communication stayed consistent throughout, keeping the clients informed as the major layout changes came together. The budget for this primary bathroom remodel was $30,000 to $45,000, and the project came in at about $32,000. The cramped bathroom they started with now feels open, modern, and completely different, and the homeowners are very happy, especially with the larger shower, the improved layout, and the modern finishes.
