The clients came to us with a bathroom that wasn’t wheelchair friendly and lacked the accessibility features their child needed. They wanted better access to the sink, toilet, and bathing area, and they wanted an ADA-accessible space that would make daily routines safer and easier while still feeling comfortable and beautifully finished. We added a wheelchair-accessible floating vanity, grab bars, a collapsible toilet grab bar, a bathing bench, a handheld shower, and other accessibility-focused features, with each one intentionally positioned to make bathing, handwashing, and toilet use easier. We also updated the tile, flooring, paint, and finishes, so the whole space feels warm, modern, and thoughtfully designed.
Careful planning went into the placement and secure installation of the grab bars, accessible vanity, bathing bench, and plumbing fixtures, because each one had to work for the family’s specific accessibility needs. From start to finish, the project took two weeks. Communication was especially important, since every detail had to fit the family’s daily routine, so we worked closely with the clients throughout the remodel. A project like this typically runs around $18,000. The result goes beyond aesthetics: a bathroom that gives the family more independence, safety, and ease, and that shows an accessible bathroom can also feel warm and modern. The clients are very happy with how it turned out and how much more functional it is for their family’s everyday needs.
